WHAT IS THIS?

For those unfamiliar, this is part of an ongoing Maxys experiment where we use AI-driven publishing processes to rapidly research, create and publish stories.

The process typically starts with an interview with a Maxys brief form, which is passed to Claudia (our Ai Reporter); she then researches the company and if selected we organise an interview (often conducted with a real person), or a journal entry from “MAX-E,” Scott Maxworthy’s personal AI assistant.

The content is then passed through our Maxys Publishing System, which—within minutes—generates several potential story angles.

Our AI Editor, “Ita,” selects the most promising angle and writes a brief, which is forwarded to two AI writers to create an A/B test – one focusing on creative writing (“Barney Dawson” storytelling series), the other more technical aspects (dry, factual).

The draft is then passed through various AI platforms for refinement.

Just like a traditional publishing digitl environment, the stories go through a series of review rounds and editing.

Once complete, artwork is commissioned, currently using DALL-E 3 and the stories are published,

This whole process taking about 5 minutes

“You know, Blue,” Barney mused to his faithful blue heeler, “disruption ain’t just about making a racket. It’s about shaking things up, challenging the status quo. And sometimes, mate, it starts with a bit of self-reflection.”

Blue tilted his head, as if pondering the profound wisdom of his master’s words. A wry smile crept across Barney’s face as he recalled the defining moment that set him on this unconventional path.

It was the night of his band’s farewell tour, and Barney was in the throes of a wild after-party. As he belted out a slurred rendition of “Waltzing Matilda,” he locked eyes with a kangaroo that had somehow found its way into the hotel lobby. In that surreal moment, a revelation struck him like a boomerang to the head – he had become a caricature of himself, a cliché of the hard-living rock star.

“That’s when I knew I had to change, Blue,” Barney said, scratching the dog’s ears. “I needed to find a new tune, a new rhythm to dance to. And that’s how I ended up here, helping businesses embrace the chaos of disruption.”

Blue wagged his tail, seemingly approving of Barney’s newfound purpose. With a mischievous grin, Barney stood up and declared, “C’mon, mate, let’s go show those city slickers how to really rock the boat!”

The boardroom fell silent as Barney Dawson strode in, his signature leather jacket replaced by a tailored suit. The executives exchanged curious glances, wondering what the legendary rocker had in store for them.

“G’day, folks!” Barney greeted with a grin that could charm a snake. “I know you’re used to suits and ties, but today, we’re gonna shake things up a bit. We’re gonna have ourselves a little jam session.”

He reached into his bag and pulled out a harmonica, tossing it to the startled CEO. “You’re on lead, mate. Don’t worry, it’s just like blowing into a didgeridoo, but smaller and less likely to summon ancestral spirits.”

As the CEO hesitantly brought the harmonica to his lips, Barney continued, “You see, disruption is like a good jam session. It’s about listening to each other, finding new rhythms, and creating something fresh. And sometimes, it means stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing the chaos.”

The room slowly filled with the tentative notes of the harmonica, accompanied by Barney’s guitar. The executives, initially skeptical, found themselves tapping their feet and nodding along to the impromptu tune.

“That’s it, mates!” Barney encouraged. “Now, let’s talk about how we can bring this energy to your business. It’s time to embrace the chaos and ride the wave of disruption. Because if you’re not willing to take risks and try new things, you might as well be a kangaroo in a suit – hopping along without ever really going anywhere.”

The boardroom erupted in laughter, the tension dissipating as quickly as a cold beer on a hot summer day. Barney grinned, knowing that his unconventional approach had struck a chord.

“Listen up, you lot,” he continued, his voice taking on a more serious tone. “I’ve been around the block a few times, and let me tell you, the music industry is a master class in disruption. One day you’re on top of the charts, the next you’re yesterday’s news. But the real legends, the ones who stand the test of time, are the ones who aren’t afraid to reinvent themselves, to embrace new sounds and shake up the status quo.”

The executives leaned in, hanging on Barney’s every word. He could see the spark of inspiration igniting in their eyes, like a bushfire spreading through the dry scrub.

“So, what do you say, mates?” Barney challenged. “Are you ready to rock the business world? To be the disruptors, the game-changers, the ones who leave a lasting legacy? Because if you are, then strap on your guitars and let’s start jamming!”

Months later, Barney Dawson sat on the porch of his outback cabin, strumming his guitar as the sun dipped below the horizon. Blue lay at his feet, contentedly chewing on an old tennis ball.

A smile tugged at Barney’s lips as he recalled the boardroom jam session that had kickstarted a wave of disruption in the corporate world. The executives he had worked with had embraced his unconventional methods, using the power of music and creativity to shake up their industries and challenge the status quo.

“You know, Blue,” Barney mused, “sometimes the best way to disrupt is to embrace the chaos, to dance to the beat of your own drum. And if anyone tells you otherwise, well, they can stick a didgeridoo where the sun don’t shine.”

Blue let out a playful bark, as if agreeing with Barney’s sentiment. The rocker chuckled and took a swig from his beer, savoring the crisp taste of disruption on his tongue.

As the last rays of sunlight faded, Barney strummed a familiar tune, his voice carrying across the vast expanse of the outback:

“Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong, Under the shade of a coolibah tree, And he sang as he watched and waited ’til his billy boiled, ‘You’ll come a-waltzing Matilda, with me.'”

In that moment, Barney Dawson knew that he had found his true calling – not as a rock star, but as a disruptor, a catalyst for change in the most unexpected of places. And as the night sky twinkled with a million stars, he couldn’t help but wonder what other adventures awaited him on this wild and unpredictable journey.
