We all love a to-do list (ok, maybe not “love”). Below is a basic digital marketing basic checklist (but not necessarily) in the exact order.

Some of the steps below are set and forget (for say a year or two) and others you need to run with every new post

  • Detailed Website Analysis – setup and review once a month
  • Keywords Research & Market Analysis – ongoing
  • Website Content Optimization – setup and ongoing
  • Creation Of Optimized & Relevant Title Tags – every post
  • Meta Tag Creation – every post
  • Image Optimization – Appropriate Alt Tags – every post
  • URL Optimization – every post
  • Meta GEO Tags Creation – depends on business
  • Robots.txt Creation – setup and check ok once a month
  • XML Sitemaps Creation – create once then check running ok every couple of weeks
  • Webmaster Tools & Google Analytics Set Up – setup and check weekly/ monthly (checking daily is ok for bigger businesses or pure-play (online only))
